Macquarie Power & Infrastructure Income Fund Provides 2008 Canadian Tax Information
TORONTO, ONTARIO (March 3, 2009) – Macquarie Power & Infrastructure Income Fund
(TSX: MPT.UN; MPT.DB – “MPT” or the “Fund”), which owns and operates essential
infrastructure assets, today provided information to assist individual Canadian unitholders
of the Fund in completing their 2008 tax returns.

regarding their individual tax circumstances. Unitholders who held their MPT units outside of a
tax-deferred plan (such as an RRSP) will receive a T3 Supplementary information slip directly

Of the distributions declared payable to unitholders by the Fund in 2008, approximately 58%
were non-taxable as a return of capital and 42% were taxable investment income.
